A Japanese photographer could be sentenced to death if convicted of premeditated murder in connection with the explosion of an Iraq war souvenir that killed a Jordanian airport employee, a judicial source said.

Hiroki Gomi, 36, faces four charges, including premeditated murder, in connection with the accident Thursday at Queen Alia International Airport that killed a security agent who tried to inspect a suspect object in the reporter's baggage.
